About the Boat
The F/V Rita B. is a 25' Parker named for my Grandmother, Rita Burnham Anderson. Her Picture appears to the right, holding two Sebago Lake Togue (called laketrout outside Maine.)
The boat is equipped with modern electronics, including a gps chart plotter, radar, depth sounder (fish finder), and VHF radio. We are proud to feature a fully operational "head" or marine toilet. We carry all required safety gear.
There is a cabin to escape the elements and the boat provides a very, stable, and fast fishing platform powered by a 250hp Evinrude E-tec outboard motor to reach cruising speeds from 20-25 knots.
I can honestly say that with the Rita B. I have been in weather that has made me wish I stayed home that day, but I have never felt unsafe. It is a comfortable platform with excellent mobility for finding fish.
Meet the Captain
Capt. Ed Snell started working on a deep sea fishing party boat out of Portland, Maine 18 years ago. Since then, he's participated in all fresh and saltwater fisheries in New England, both recreational and commercial. He attended Maine Maritime Academy where he fostered his long time love for the sea into a career, transporting petroleum products for Moran Towing Corporation throughout the East and Gulf Coasts of the United States. He's happy to spend his day sharing his knowledge of Casco Bay, Portland Harbor and the Gulf of Maine with you aboard the F/V "Rita B."
